Midfoot Plantar Fasciitis

Midfoot Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis is inflammation of the tissue that supports the arch of the foot. Standing, running and jumping can lead to irritation or small tears.

    • On occasion, plantar fasciitis occurs in the center of the medial longitudinal arch (large inner arch) instead of at the calcaneal insertion (heel) of the plantar fascia.
    • Pain and tenderness are located in the non-weight-bearing portion of the plantar (bottom) surface of the foot.

    • Stretching the calf muscle
    • Orthotic treatment
    • Proper Footwear
