Plantar Fasciitis is inflammation of the tissue that supports the arch of the foot. Standing, running and jumping can lead to irritation or small tears.
- On occasion, plantar fasciitis occurs in the center of the medial longitudinal arch (large inner arch) instead of at the calcaneal insertion (heel) of the plantar fascia.
- Pain and tenderness are located in the non-weight-bearing portion of the plantar (bottom) surface of the foot.
- Stretching the calf muscle
- Orthotic treatment
- Proper Footwear
